Meet 21 year old Chidera Nneoma Okolie, a 500 Level Law student of the University of Nigeria Enugu Campus. Chidera can best be described as a scriptwriter, freelancer, founder of SaveTheLastBlack (a cause dedicated to preserving our rich brown color). She is also the author of ‘When Silence Becomes Too Loud!’ a 300 paged crime suspense novel released in December 2014.
Her journey as a writer has been an amazing one, she has been featured on numerous blogs including Linda Ikeji’s blog, radio and TV interviews like Channels TV, Makosi TV, Cool FM, Rhythm FM, Classic FM, Dream FM, etc. She has also gotten endorsements by the President of Nigeria Goodluck Jonathan, alongside other celebrities like Tuface, Psquare, Phyno, Don Jazzy, Patoranking, Runtown, DJXCLUSIVE, Bovi, Praiz, Idris Sultan (the winner of Big Brother Africa 2014), Iyanya, Majid Michel etc and has also been on the cover of two magazines. Right now, the screen adaptation of the novel is being worked on and will be in cinemas in 2016.
